Auf die Errungenschaften modernem Hotelkomforts muss man hier weitgehend verzichten. Das Haus gehört offiziell der Einsterne-Kategorie an und bietet derart nur Etagenbäder und –toiletten. Get away from it all. This remote summer villa in the South Tyrol may not offer the height
of luxury, but it more than makes up for it in ambience, classic Bauhaus style and great
hospitality. Guests adore the tasteful minimalism at Briol, as well as the focus on tradition and a unique experience.
At first glance there are some features of
Pension Briol that might put guests off from
staying there. The secluded guesthouse is
situated 1,310 metres above sea level, high
above the Isarco valley in the South Tyrol,
and can only be reached after a strenuous
hour and a half walk or a bumpy ride in a
4x4. Modern hotel comforts are largely dispensed with. Officially a one-star establishment, there are no en suite bathrooms, sauna or indoor swimming pool. Spa facilities are restricted to an ice-cold pool behind the building and an antiquated shower next to it. |
