All'inizio della descrizione dice "tie ends" facendo quindi pensare al fatto che debbano essere "annodate", successivamente si legge " 3 Clear Nylon Strings with 3 Silver Plated Wound Strings EADGBE". Sembra che stia facendo una differenza tra le 3 "clear" e tre "wound".. non sono tutte da annodare?..

Ecco perchè al crescere del diametro e ad una nota più grave viene introdotto l'avvolgimento.
Una corda avvolta è composta da un "core" un'anima centrale liscia sulla quale, come detto in precedenza, vengono avvolte varie spire di altro materiale magnetico o meno a seconda si tratti di corde per strumenti acustici o elettrici.

Sono chiamate così perché l'anima della corda, di solito sintetica, è avvolta da un filo esterno a spirale, spesso, appunto, in argento, come nel caso del tuo testo.
