In a gas supply agreement, there is an Arbeitspreis and a Leistungspreis. The Leistungspreis is measured in DM/kWh/h/a and the Arbeitspreis is measured in PF/kWh. I\'d like to hear your initial suggestions before I share mine.

An element in a two-part pricing method used in capacity transactions (energy charge is the other element). The capacity charge, sometimes called Demand Charge, is assessed on the amount of capacity being purchased.

Thanks for pointing out "across the globe" and giving different suggestions. This translation is for Germany. I talked to the client and he said to stick with capacity charge and unit price. In general, he said one should remember that energy systems are different across the globe, so it is not as important to find a term used in the US. (In the end, the terms I mentioned are the equivalents of demand charge and energy charge).

A fair number of variants are in use across the globe, including yours (capacity charge and unit price), so take your pick.

However, beware of "consumer charge" or "service charge" (Grundpreis or Verrechnungspreis) which does not depend on the amount of energy consumed.
