Source text - German Ich bin mir sicher, dass die Erfahrungen im Garten große Auswirkungen auf die Ausprägungen des Menschen haben. Und damit meine ich nicht nur im Verhältnis zu seiner Umwelt, sondern auch in seinem Verhältnis zu sich selbst. Lass mich ein Beispiel nennen: Spätfröste, Hagelschlag, Schnecken, kurzum Misserfolge. All das gehört zum Garten eben auch dazu und wir lernen dabei den Umgang damit. Ich habe ja vorhin schon von der Notwendigkeit gesprochen, die Welt zu verstehen. Und dieses Verstehen ist eben etwas ganz anderes, als etwas immer nach seinem Willen zu erleben und zu kontrollieren. Ein solches Anerkennen von äußeren Einflüssen, es für sich anzunehmen, das ist etwas höchst Pädagogisches und es fördert sicher nachhaltig die Fähigkeit im späteren Leben mit Krisen umzugehen. In der Therapie würde man von „Coping“ sprechen, in der Pädagogik kennen wir den Begriff der Resilienz und ich glaube, dass frühe Gartenerfahrungen hier sehr dienlich sein können.
