I have over 23 years of experience with Japan, including 19 years direct translating experience from Japanese into English (8 years full-time). I am Ivy League-trained (B.A. East Asian Studies - Princeton 1988), Middlebury College Summer Intensive Language Institute-trained (Intermediate Japanese, 1984), a former Japan Ministry of Education Fellow (1985-1986), and a former employee of Honda Motor Company in Japan, among others. I also have an M.A. in Education from George Washington University in Washington DC.
As for French: That is the first foreign language I learned and, since childhood, I have read French in a variety of contexts, as well as used it for business and pleasure!
My writing skills are excellent. I am deadline-conscious and always concerned with accuracy and professionalism. Moreover, I am proficient in a variety of computer applications related to word processing, web publishing, and/or office presentations.
