And the populations of whole countries seeing themselves cannibalised, swallowed up, vacuumed into the black-ringed staring eye, wrench what they can from the cannibals. You want picture my house, my camel? You pay.
None of this would matter, perhaps, if anything worthwhile was being accomplished. If all the constant busyness and clicking produced, at its end, what had not existed before, images of beauty captured or truth told. But, sadly, this isn't so. The camera is simply graffiti made respectable.
The camera is the means by which we stamp ourselves on everything we see, under cover of recording the Wonders of the World already wonderfully
recorded by professionals and on sale at every corner bookshop and newsagent. But what use to show Aunt Maud, back home, postcards of the Tuscan landscape, since we are not in the picture to prove that we were there?

I remember reading once that some fellows use language to conceal thought, but it's been my experience that a good many more use it instead of thought.

1. If the newly installed firmware does not boot up for some reason, boot-up should be performed using the old firmware. Therefore, when performing only an upgrade, never delete the old firmware from the ABC card. (It is possible to have multiple versions of the firmware.)
2. Never turn off the power while the backup firmware is running.
Reason: The backup data may get deleted.
If the backup data gets deleted, repeat the firmware backup.
3. Never turn off the power during copying or deleting the software.

SAN FRANCISCO - There is one Silicon Valley bubble that never deflated after the technology boom ended. As a new generation of tech start-ups prepares to take its shot at the big time, that could have disruptive consequences for the Valley's delicate entrepreneurial ecosystem.
There are, in short, too many venture capitalists with too much money to spend.
"The business is not contracting fast enough," complains Jim Breyer, a partner at Accel, one of the Valley's leading VC firms.
Bruce Dunlevie of Benchmark Capital, another firm that made a name for itself during the internet boom, adds: "It's a business with barriers to exit unlike any I know."
The overhang of money in the VC business is estimated at $80 billion to $100 billion, all of it committed by investors and waiting to find its way into promising young companies.
