Hi everybody,
I just wanted to share my experience of installing a dictionary with "securom" protection on my macbook pro.
This dictionary worked only with windows and could not be copied on the hard disk.
Moreover, if windows was installed with parallel, the "securom" protection of the cd conflicted with parallels and didn't allow me to run the cd.

After having surfed the net for weeks, I found this post (in Italian):

http://www.proz.com/forum/italian/151466-dizionari_su_disco_virtuale.html

where it was explained how to install the dictionary on a virtual disk using Alcohol 120% with the included ACID tool.

All that we need is to create a virtual mdf/mds image of the dictionary disk, then run Acid, which "cloacks" the virtual disks, letting the securom protection believe that they are physical and not virtual disks.

After this, we can easily launch the dictionary from our desktop, without inserting the cd.

Hope this will help someone who has this problem.

If this helps you, don't thank me but the author of the Italian post.

Bruno
