Hi all,

Thanks to renewed participation, it has been possible to declare winners in 17 new pairs and to move 14 pairs from Qualifications to Finals phase in the last translation contest Celebrations.

Below is the list of pairs that remain open. If you work in any of these, you can help out contestants by rating entries in Qualifications or voting for your favorite translations in Finals.

Hi Samuel,

Thanks for pointing this out.

ProZ.com translation contests have different stages: Submissions, Qualifications and Finals.

After submissions are over, language pairs that have seven or less entries move straight to Finals, while pairs that have over seven entries go to Qualifications.

During this phase, entries are subject to peer reviews in the form of commentary and rating, which is broken down by Quality of writing and Accuracy of translation. These ratings, when averaged, produce an overall rating. This will determine which entries make it to the Finals.

During Finals, entries are subject to voting. Users can vote for first, second and third place, awarding four, two and one point respectively.

So, if you work in a language pair in Qualifications, you will have the opportunity to comment on the entries and to rate them (it can be just one or as many as you want). If the pair you are interested in is in Finals, you can vote for your first, second and third favorite entries (you can also vote for first place only).

If anyone has any further doubts on what these phases mean or how to submit ratings or votes, please let me know and I will be happy to answer them.

Regards,

Tatiana
