Hello, I would like someone who is an English-native speaker and familiar with mechanical field to ask the meaning of 'release' here.
According to this project manager says release means 'enable signal'.
I don't know if release can be replaced with 'enabled signal'.
Would you advise me?

Thank you so much in advance.
