Finally a response! What is the point of asking a question and then disappearing?

I never asked you to disclose a name! How could it be a company? I asked whar XXX referred to (what type of device or machine?) so I could confirm, or not, the PM's suggestion. Note that "release " in your text is a noun whereas the PM is suggedting a verb.

So, what did you use?

It is very discouraging (and a waste of MY time) to try and help Askers when they can't be bothered to give proper context

Hi,Yvonne、Jordy, Philigoddard. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I can't show real name of Xs. This is translation from German, and this project manager fluent in it read this language version. He says 'enable signal's were found there. The term seems to has been translated as (or converted into?) 'release'.

Considering your intent of the question. The release of 'XXX' suggests it's about a project or task that needs to get a 'go' to continue.

Which would suggest that the release of the project needs an enable signal.
Concluding; when you finished the project (or release the project) you need to give an enable signal on the project towards the person following you in the funnel.

If the project manager says it means "enable signal" (not "enabled", which is something different), and they know what they're talking about, I'd be inclined to take this at face value. It sounds convincing to me.

But yes, we can't answer your question without knowing what the Xs refer to or what it says before and after this.

yes, "enabled signal" might be OK. But need to know what XXX is to choose the best synonym! If the PM has told you "enabled" is best, then go with that or a synonym like "empowered".
The noun "release" means a (starter) button or something that can disengage, unshackle, free, open, unbind, etc. something, such as a signal(?) here. Lots of other synonyms. But need to know WHAT this "release" does
