Why you need ProZ membership

ProZ membership works. Thousands of translators have used it to start and grow successful freelance businesses. Those who make the most of their membership often report earning thousands of dollars in return. Don’t just take our word for it—see what members have to say.

Membership is most effective when combined with the ProZ.com winning strategies: maintaining a complete and compelling profile, specializing, helping others through KudoZ, and applying to the Certified PRO Network. Visibility alone won’t bring clients if your profile doesn’t reflect your strengths and expertise.

For serious, full-time language professionals—whether you're just getting started, looking to grow, or simply want to stay visible and connected—ProZ membership is what we might call a no-brainer, and easy choice to make. The way we as ProZ staff communicate about or present membership should reflect this.

Membership doesn’t just benefit you—it makes the entire ProZ platform and community possible. It supports the tools, services, and staff that help both members and non-members succeed.

While many of ProZ’s features are free, we draw the line at commercial exposure. Connecting professionals with paying clients is a premium service—and that’s where membership comes in. In exchange for membership investments, the ProZ.com team works very hard for members, and the statistics say that membership pays off for professional translators in any country and at any stage of their careers.
