Source text - English Diverse security techniques for preventing illegal access to the network and leakage of communication to any third person have been proposed with regard to the wireless LAN: one proposed technique utilizes a MAC (Media Access Control) address, which is an intrinsic identification number allocated to a device for connecting the wireless LAN (for example, a wireless LAN adapter) attached to the terminal, and registers the allocated MAC address in the access point. The access point authenti- cates the MAC address in response to an access from the terminal, and rejects the request of access to the network from the terminal when the input MAC address is not identical with the registered MAC address.
Translation - Italian Sono state proposte diverse tecniche di sicurezza per impedire l’accesso illegale alla rete e il trapelamento di comunicazione a una qualsiasi terza persona concernenti la LAN wireless: una tecnica proposta utilizza un indirizzo MAC (Media Access Control – Controllo di Accesso ai Mezzi), che è un numero di identificazione intrinseco assegnato a un dispositivo per connettere la LAN wireless (per esempio, un adattatore LAN wireless) collegato al terminale, e registra l’indirizzo MAC assegnato nel punto di accesso. Source text - English 1.The sui generis right on databases is, according to many internationally renowned jurists, an idea that the European Union could do without as it is confusing and disorganized and creates a huge difference between European and international intellectual property regulations. Nevertheless, it exists, and while we await its timely abolition, we cannot overlook it, as it affects a large part of the data- and content-producing world.
Certainly, the policy of pushing for the abolition of the sui generis right (as in European 3.0 licenses) or even the CC0 release of databases (with a kind of artificial public domain), makes things much more manageable, particularly when you are operating in an international rather than a strictly European sphere.

Il diritto sui generis per database è, a detta di molti giurisiti di fama internazionale, un'idea che la Comunità Europea poteva risparmiarsi perchè porta solo confusione e farraginosità e crea una pesante differenza fra la normativa sulla proprietà intellettuale europea e quella internazionale. Tuttavia esiste. E in attesa di una sua auspicabile abolizione non possiamo fare finta che non ci sia, dato che interessa una buona fetta del mondo attiva nella produzione di dati e contenuti.
Di certo la politica di spingere verso una rinuncia del diritto sui generis (come avviene nelle licenze 3.0 europee) o addirittura per rilascio in CC0 dei database (con una sorta di public domain artificioso) rende le cose molto più gestibili, soprattutto quando ci troviamo ad operare in un'ottica internazionale e non strettamente europea.
