I majored in Japanese in college, and moved to Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher shortly after. I have N1 certification on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and have been doing freelance translation on Gengo, where I maintain a high rating for quality. I do Japanese to English, and my translation rate ranges between 300 - 400 characters per hour, depending on the source material. Some of the areas I have translated for include personal and business letters, tourism, and dining/restaurants. In the future I would like to do video game localization or translation for journalism and news agencies.
