PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD MAKE A
DIFFERENCE IN THE TRANSLATION/INTERPRETING

INDUSTRY:

I have traveled extensively
world-wide. Though I proudly started my career in the Travel Industry as a crew
member onboard small, luxury Galapagos Islands cruise yachts, accommodating
very demanding Guests, I then transitioned to management positions and have
been in said positions for no less than 15 years. This taught me to work under
pressure, to work well in a team-oriented environment, to lead, to become experienced
and proficient in customer service, and to be able to use my knowledge and proficiency
in both Spanish and English in pretty much every manner possible: from written,
to spoken, planned or spontaneous, in high-pressure situations, behind the
scenes or in front of cameras (live). I don’t only speak in English and
Spanish, I think in English and Spanish, and I have a thorough cultural understanding
of English speaking cultures  (from
Aussie, to UK, to Canadian and USA) to Spanish (from almost all South American
countries, several Central American countries, Mexico, and Spain).
