No accurate and objective criteria/bench-marking used on the evaluation process Oct 27, 2019

I think that the criteria used by the peers on the process of translation evaluation, are not quite objective and consistent. For example, this translation that has no spelling or grammar/syntax errors at all could not have a similar evaluation with a translation that results with so many spelling and grammar/syntax errors (which in fact, are very simple errors, quite easily to be avoided or repaired). I think that the criteria used by the peers on the process of translation evaluation, are not quite objective and consistent. For example, this translation that has no spelling or grammar/syntax errors at all could not have a similar evaluation with a translation that results with so many spelling and grammar/syntax errors (which in fact, are very simple errors, quite easily to be avoided or repaired). As such, this translation (with no grammar or syntax errors at all) could not get an evaluation of 3 in quality and 2.7 in accuracy, while another translation (with many grammar or spelling errors) could get an evaluation of 2.7 in quality and 2.5 in accuracy. That's why I strongly think that there's no objective system of comparison used by peers. As far as I see, there's no clear bench-marking used while making the evaluation of translations.
