Bio
For English study I entered a junior college where offers a study abroad course for learning English, and also had an opportunity to join the transfer program to further explore the language in an academic environment. After returning to Japan, I continued studying English while working in a newspaper company, gained teaching experience, and then learned about pharmaceuticals and clinical trials as a helpdesk agent. The last job triggered me to study more about English in healthcare through remote courses of medical translation. After completing them, I finally became a self-employed as a checker for medical translation in 2015.
Because my role at the helpdesk company involved solving problems related to network and applications, I also studied for information technology, and it led to translation/check jobs in IT related areas.
Although I started my career in medical translation as a checker mainly for clinical trial documents, I also have experiences in postediting/checking other healthcare-related contents (such as websites and white papers of pharmaceuticals and medical or experimental devices). In addition to translation, postediting, and check jobs, I do reviews (LQA) for IT related translations these years.
