I know what this means but don't want to use the literal "in an avant-garde and innovative way/manner/etc.". My thought was "... innovatively adapted with avant-garde" but even I'm not convinced enough. Any other ideas?

"Por otro lado, se adecuaron de manera vanguardista e innovadora, las áreas de circulación con más de 6.100 metros cuadrados de espacios para el ingreso y salida del público, pasillos, accesos, áreas de espera y filas exclusivas para cada uno de los sectores dentro del coliseo. Garantizando fluidez y seguridad para cada uno de los eventos."

: though 'taken' also works, 'approach' (a la Neil's suggestion) sounds even better, but I'd use 'were modified' for 'se adecuaron'

I would take the direction of

"On the other hand, adopting bold and creative approach, the area of ...
although using creative instead of innovative nags at me a bit I think bold kinds of carries the sentence more fully.
