Czech term

náhodná trombocytopenie

Czech to English Medical Medical (general)
Pravděpodobnost, že pacientka trpí ITP víc než náhodnou trombocytopenií, vzrůstá, pokud počet destiček dále klesá, i když není specificky stanoven počet destiček, pod který je možno náhodnou trombocytopenii jednoznačně vyloučit.

náhodná - does this mean 'idiopathic', 'without any obvious triggering cause'?
Would you use 'essential' here? I haven't seen any other examples of 'náhodný' used in the medical sense of 'essential'.
Proposed translations (English)

Discussion

Dylan Edwards (asker) Feb 10, 2020:
'ITP' means 'immune thrombocytopenic purpura' here.
Jiri Lonsky Feb 10, 2020:
It depends on what do they mean by the ITP acronym I found ITP can stand for "Idiopathic (autoimmune) thrombocytopenic purpura", but also for "Immune Thrombocytopenia"
