Suggestion: Nickname for your fish can be ""(xiao3 lan2). It means "Little Blue"

agree Sunshine Wang : or, for a fighter, "藍(lan2) 箭(jian4)"=blue arrow; "藍(lan2) 剪(jian3)"=blue scissors.

蓝、蓝色

Lan2, or Lan2 Se4

The other translators are right for their translation, but to complement a fighterfish, my suggestion is

Lan2 Se4 ===>Blue
Zhan4 ====>fighter
Shen 2 ===>Spirit, God

蓝牙

This name just jumped up to me. If I have a blue fighterfish, I would like to name it “蓝牙”.

蓝( lan2 ) = blue.
牙( ya2 ) = tooth.

蓝牙(lan2 ya2 ) is the Chinese translation of 'bluetooth', as you may know, that is an advanced communication protocol.

Does your fighterfish use its tooth in fighting?

The Chinese word “牙”also means tooth-like things like crescent moon.

So this name has a lot of associations and possible explanaions around it.
