Thank you for the input - but it seems to infer to an investment related context - such as preventing bottomless losses on an investment in the stock market. I couldn't find more specific information than what you have suggested, so I appreciate the input.

Referanse for "loss of earnings": "Compensatory damages of an economic nature may also be recovered by an injured party. A plaintiff may recover for loss of earnings resulting from an injury. The measure of lost earnings is the amount of money that the plaintiff might reasonably have earned by working in her or his profession during the time the plaintiff was incapacitated because of the injury."

What about "utvidet tapsforsikring"? This appears to related to securing oneself against losses on an investment on the exchange or changes in the stock price?
