Talking about elastomer-coated gaskets:
Die porenfreie Aufbringung der Elastomere erfolgt durch Coil-Coating oder durch Zuschnitt-Beschichtung, seltener sind Flachdichtungsmaterialien mit geschäumtem Elastomer-Auftrag zu finden.
Does anyone know if this is the same as "batch coating" here, or is there a distinction?

just an idea...
It could mean coating of selective areas, e.g. on a backing which needs the elastomer in a certain area to cope with one type of sealing, and perhaps a different coating bzw. none at all in other areas.

I found "coating blank" for "Zuschnitt (für Beschichtung)" in Wittfoht, Plastics Technical Dictionary
