Coupons may/can be combined with cash and other means of payment.

Long-winded constructions like "In case the full payment cannot be made using coupons only, it is possible to pay using cash, etc." only reflect the original Japanese, a language which is
notoriously weak in expressing conditionality.

I don't think much of using three words (in case of/that) for one (when/if), but I'm inured to seeing it in bad J-E translations.
