helpful alternatives:
\"beings in the Upper World\" and \"Upper World\" could prove very usable when speaking in general terms or in polytheistic SETTINGS
\"The beings in the Upper World had the bodies of humans but the heads of ravens...\"

To Mr Tomara: I assume the Asker\'s source to be a scientific paper dealing with mythology, and thus the need for accurate descriptive terms, not those of metaphorical potential (if the latter IS the case i\'d support your serendipitous Olimpian thing, i really like it)

\'world of NEBOZHITELEY\' may also be rendered as \'heavenly world\'

A note to Marfus\' note :-)
The text is rather ironical, I presume, and in such context Olympian IMHO would perfectly fit. If however the author does seriously consider the ties between the supernatural world and the ours, we should indeed translate literally and then NEBOZHITEL\' is a \'heavenly being\'

Or \'celestial being\' as suggested below by Marfus

marfus
: this might only do with reference to Greek pantheon, which is hardly the case here

Thanks for the comment, however this word is often used in the figurative sense.
