español term

suma de las saturaciones al cuadrado de la rotación

español al inglés Ciencias sociales Educación / Pedagogía Analysis of variance
This appears in a table depicting the results of a survey.
The other column headings are: Component - Initial eigenvalues - Sumas de las saturaciones al cuadrado de la extracción (translated as "Sums of the squared factor loadings").

I'm just not sure how to fit in the "rotation" part.

"Para interpretar las componentes se transforma la matriz factorial en matriz factorial rotada mediante un proceso de rotación factorial mediante la normalización Varimax con Kaiser que hace más fácil la interpretación al conseguir correlaciones altas con un grupo de variables y bajas con las demás (Bernal, Martínez y Sánchez, 2004)."

Rotation (factor analysis) Rotation:
An important feature of factor analysis is that the axes of the factors can be rotated within the multidimensional variable space.

Rotation sums of squared loadings

He encontrado esto:
Verás que la traducción de suma de las saturaciones al cuadrado de la extracción es diferente... pero tú verás si te es de utilidad.

Extraction sums of squared loadings: Initial eigenvalues and eigenvalues after extraction (listed by SPSS as "Extraction Sums of Squared Loadings") are the same for PCA extraction, but for other extraction methods, eigenvalues after extraction will be lower than their initial counterparts. SPSS also prints "Extraction sums of squared loadings: Initial eigenvalues and eigenvalues after extraction (listed by SPSS as "Extraction Sums of Squared Loadings") are the same for PCA extraction, but for other extraction methods, eigenvalues after extraction will be lower than their initial counterparts. SPSS also prints "Rotation Sums of Squared Loadings" and even for PCA, these eigenvalues will differ from initial and extraction eigenvalues, though their total will be the same." and even for PCA, these eigenvalues will differ from initial and extraction eigenvalues, though their total will be the same.
Note from asker:
Thanks for that. This part of the article is like Martian to me (even the explanation) but if Charles approves, I'll take your word for it :-)
