Source text - Dutch Wat blijft er van ons over, als we alle afleidingen uit de dagelijkse realiteit achter ons laten? Wie zijn wij, ontdaan van onze rollen, beroep en status?
Wij nemen je graag mee naar een plek waar je eet wat het land je biedt. Drinkt wat de rivier je geeft. En waar de natuur vele malen weidser en wijzer is dan jij en ik. Een plek waar het stil is en niets moet. Waar de natuur je uitdaagt om naar jezelf te kijken; wie je bent, waar je staat en waar je naar toe gaat.
Vijf dagen trekken we met onze rugzakken door de ruige Italiaanse Alpen. Afzien en uitrusten. Gewoon man zijn, en af en toe ontdekken dat je ergens diep van binnen ook nog jongen bent. We laten ons vijf dagen leiden door de elementen: Water, Vuur, Aarde, Lucht en Ruimte.
Het doel? De natuur in, terug naar jezelf, om de kracht van je lijf en je geest te ervaren. Een reis waar je uitgerust van thuiskomt, ondanks de stevige fysieke inspanningen die we soms moeten leveren. Vijf dagen om nooit meer te vergeten, waarmee je ruimte in je hoofd maakt en terugkeert met wellicht een prachtig idee of een nieuwe frisse blik op het leven
Translation - English What remains of us, once we are away from the distractions of our daily lives? What are we, when divested of our roles, our work and our status?
Allow us the pleasure of transporting you to a place where Mother Nature presides, where the earth itself provides your nourishment and the rivers quench your thirst. Where nature is all-encompassing, and so much wiser than you or I. A place where everything is in balance, where nothing is compulsory. Where nature challenges you to look within yourself: who are you? Where are you? Where are you going?
For five days we will trek with our rucksacks through the rugged Italian Alps. Carefree, stress-free. Content to be men, and yet discovering boy in us from time to time, deep inside. For five days the elements will be our guide: Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Space.
What is our goal? To rediscover that side of ourselves which is intrinsically bound with nature. To feel the vigour of our bodies and the strength of our minds. A journey from which you will return rested, in spite of the demanding physical exertion which you will experience from time to time. Five days which you will never forget, during which you will create freedom in your mind and from which you will return home with renewed creativity and a fresh outlook on your world.

I am English with a Bachelors from Oxford Brookes University. I have been living in the Netherlands for 21 years now, and set up my company, BEST English, in 2010 to help Dutch businesses use English in a more professinal manner.
Prior to this, I worked for a language institute for several years teaching business English to Dutch and Belgian companies, and I also taught English for 4 years at the University College (Hogeschool Zeeland) in Flushing.
One of my most interesting jobs was teaching English at the Dutch Ministry of Defence, helping engineers to understand the manual of the F16 fighter-bomber. You could find me sprawled across an F16 most mornings, discovering exactly what each switch or flap is used for. (Always in the presence of a Captain, you understand.)
With the increasing desire and necessity for Dutch businesses to become part of the international market, professional and precise translations have become of paramount importance. This is now the main branch of my company.
