Source text - English Cendant Timeshare Resort Group has purchased a residential apartment complex in San Diego, California, to convert to timeshare.
According to U.S. press reports, Cendant paid $32.8 million for the property to Archstone Smith, a company based in Englewood, Colorado.
The new owners intend to spend $17million on the conversion. The renovation will include new interiors, new plumbing and the refurbishment of the lobby, hallways and meeting facilities.
Built in 1990, the Oakwood Mission Valley property comprises 58 one-bedroom and 112 two-bedroom apartments.
