I´m in this business for quite a time, but only worked with trados so far (not using it as a freelancer though). Now I´m considering to include one of these two little helpers into my business. So my question: What do you think is more effective: trados or workfast?

We used to have a "CAT fight" page on ProZ.com to compare different tools, but it is being upgraded now, so I'm afraid you'll have to wait. I'm a Wf-fan, because most of the time I use Wf with Word-files. But Trados can more than Wf. So it's a luxury to buy Wordfast after Trados, mostly people first get aquainted to CAT using Wf and upgrade later to the much more expensive tools like Trados and DV. But I think it important to support developers of cheap software by buying it, in order to keep up competition. So go ahead and buy Wordfast! Regards Heinrich
It depends on.... | Jan 31, 2005 |
Hi Liff, I think that it depends on your customers. If they ask you to work with trados you should buy it, but if they don't need a specific tool WF is good. It depends on how the market goes. Good luck, Valentina Liff wrote: I´m in this business for quite a time, but only worked with trados so far (not using it as a freelancer though).
