Does the 1回投与 here refer to the first of the 12 administrations?
Would that not normally be 一回目？

I believe, from the context, that it means that the effects were perceived 1 hour after a single dose was administered - not the first dose.

I'm not sure if this would be possible, as the radioactivity lasts in tissues for at least a few days. What do you think? Cheers. : dose はあくまでも「薬一服」なので、once a day （１日に一回）とすると、意味が違ってくると思います。

: I don't think "each dosing" works here. Please go to http://www.mochida.co.jp/dis/interview/epa_s_n11.pdf (P48,49) Your second suggestion could be correct. 1回投与=初回1日目の1回の投与、4回投与=4日目の投与=4日間投与 So I also agree with your first thought, CalumR!
