The term "transformation" is university level mathematics, and your source is clearly aimed at junior highschool students. In addition, the word "isometric" means that the lengths remain the same, whereas the length of the side AB changes under the transformation. Google for "parallelogram" and "area" and you will find a whole pile of junior high level websites, with none of them using a specific term. |
