Swedish term

beresningsskyldig

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Insurance environmental requirements for insurance companies
Det gäller de som är beresningsskyldiga och de som kör på avtal.

I know this has to do with a form of driving for work. Does it mean required to drive for work? Is there a better term out there?

Discussion

'beresningsskyldig' refers to using one's private car at work. This is particularly relevant for insurance coverage.

required to travel

See the link for the Swedish example (for a claims adjuster position) that explains the term. The job doesn't require driving per se, but rather travel to investigate and settle claims.

Of course, a personal vehicle is usually needed to perform such a job if one is not provided, but it's the traveling, not the driving, that's the primary requirement in such position descriptions.
Example sentence:

Tjänsten, som är en heltidstjänst, innebär att du kommer att vara beresningsskyldig, vilket medför att du måste ha tillgång till egen bil.
