I have been translating on a freelance basis since 2003. My main interests are my academic subjects of Business, Economics and Political Science. As you can see from my attached CV I have attended University both in England and Germany.
During and after my studies I have gathered some industry experience in business consultancy and finance in the United Kingdom. I have also worked for a German advertising agency in the past.
I specialise in commercial documents, business contracts, financial reports and so forth.
Beyond my academic subjects and working experience, I take a strong interest in technology and computing (Web design, Windows and Linux), and am able to competently localise software, software manuals, and web pages.
I can confidently translate in either direction (EN-GB>DE, DE>EN-GB). I am more than happy to provide samples upon request.
I can handle most input formats, the main MS office type documents (DOC/DOCX, etc)and their Open Document equivalents (ODF), naturally, as well as tagged formats such as html/LaTeX and native programming files (PO files).
