I can see many forum posts randomly eaten up. Is this a bug?

Reverse delay Dec 13, 2023

It seems to be a reverse delay. Until now, it was the email notifications that were delayed a few days. Now it seems the notifications are emailed before the database has been updated with the posts, with the result that they seem to have disappeared when we click in the notification. Your topic, for example, was not visible for a few minutes.

Maybe those who know how everything in the Proz systems works have retired.

...the vetting is processed long before submitting an article for the forums. What's going wrong there in Argentina? Another kind of predictable AI in test?

Delays across servers —the systems team is working on it. Dec 13, 2023

Hi, everyone,

Thank you for your reports.

The site is currently experiencing some delays across servers —basically, when a new forum post is made, it gets "replicated" on every server; but this replication is taking longer than usual today due to some maintenance updates. Hi, everyone,

Thank you for your reports.

The site is currently experiencing some delays across servers —basically, when a new forum post is made, it gets "replicated" on every server; but this replication is taking longer than usual today due to some maintenance updates. You aren't always seeing the site on the same server: if you navigate from one page to the other, or refresh pages, you might change servers, and these delays will make it so that posts that were visible on one server might disappear on another.

The systems team is working on stabilizing this, and we expect the site to be back to normal shortly. The last of the ongoing maintenance updates should be finished within the next couple weeks as well! In the meantime, if you notice any issues, don't hesitate to report them. If possible, please submit a support request »

I appreciate your patience!
