Ana Luiza Iaria is a former lawyer who practiced law for many years in Brazil before becoming a translator. Apart from a law degree, she has an MS in translation and translation technology from Imperial College London. She also teaches practical translation at Imperial College, instructing as well as supervising students. She has presented papers on legal translation at international conferences and conducted workshops on Brazilian law and on tools and productivity for translators.
