subtitling basics and advanced tips

内容：Dear all,
I would like to learn subtitling techniques. I am familiar with Aegisub and Subtile Edit as a translator, and I would like to create timecodes according to the change of plans (include 2 empty frames before and after). I understand the notion of frame/image, but I don't know the priority rules nor the most efficient method. I think the best way would be a test and correction with feedback where possible.
