I have a brand new PC with all the bells and whistles; however, I am all of a sudden unable to use the key combinations given in the 1252 Windows Latin 1 (ANSI) character set to produce e.g. Umlauts, etc.

I am getting the message: TRADOS is not running.

Well, even if I \"run\" TRADOS, I am unable to proceed with the character set combinations.

OP: WIndows XP PRO and Office XP PRO.

Any good ideas, please?
