No reports (WFC / WORD FOR MAC 2011) 投稿者: Sabine Deutsch
|
Hello everybody, Since I moved to Word 2011 (Mac), I don't get the reports (analysis and clean-up) any more. I am using WFC (version 6.01g). When I analyse or clean up a file, it "pretends" to be working and then just stops - nothing appears... I'm desperate! Has anyone experienced this and can help? Thanks for any ideas. Sabine
Try F10 or ⌘ + < und you'll see the analysis window in the background.

Thanks, at what time do you think I should press F10? The problem is WF doesn't seem to generate the report.

The report is hidden behind the analyzed window. It's a typical behavior with Wordfast + Office 2011. Now, if you don't see any report window after hitting the F10 key (Exposé), you may experience another problem. Jean-François

But one question: where have you copied wordfast.dot? By default, WFC creates reports in the same folder, so you should check you have sufficient right there. OTOH, this is also where wordfast.ini and wordfast.cfg are created, so you should have a problem with these, if rights are involved. You could try changing the report path via the ReportFolder= command in PB. I can't test the exact syntax for OS X right now. Can you press Ctrl+Alt+P (outside a translation session) in order to obtain a summary of your setup? | | | Sabine Deutsch フランス Local time: 08:25 フランス語 から ドイツ語 + ... Thank you Jean-François, I checked the English list (find it somewhat difficult to search but maybe it's just because I don't know how to do it). Anyway, I just found the problem the other way round - someone NOT wanting the reports all the time. Dominique, thanks. I have wordfast.dot in the same folder as my TMs etc, so there should not be a problem with the rights. I converted the file to Word 2004 and it worked fine, the analysis report was stored in the same folder as the file I analysed. So it definitely has to do with Word 2011. Yes, I do get the Setup with Crtl+Alt+P. What should I look for ? ▲ Collapse

It's the PB command that does it. I just have to find out how to indicate the path. I replaced "C:/my..." with "bureau" - this is not right and WF tells me it doesn't know that path but it still puts the analysis and cleanup reports in the same folder as the analysed file. That's great, thank you for the help. Now if by any chance someone knows how to indicate the path on Mac, that would be wonderful. Sabine | | | Look at the output of Ctrl+Alt+P | Jan 16, 2012 |

This is why I told you to use Ctrl+Alt+P: look at the output and see how the path to your TM is specified. Adapt it to the path of the folder in which you want your reports to be stored. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » No reports (WFC / WORD FOR MAC 2011) Trados Business Manager Lite | Create customer quotes and invoices from within Trados Studio
