I have translated over 30 million words by myself from English into Japanese spreading over various fields, such as IT, software/hardware manuals, engineering specifications, legal documents, automotive manuals, nuclear system manuals, business and financial documents, etc.
Having an extensive 28-years operation experience with my own translation / localization company, I am now starting to offer my own service as an independent consultant or a translation/language expert.
I have good knowledge of most of the CAT tools, QA procedures, and other translation-related technology. I also created a Japanese styleguide and quality assurance guide to have the Japanese documents consistent and well understood. This is based on the Localization Industry Standards Association QA Guide and other industry-wide standards.
I am also a good communicator in my native language, Japanese, and also English.
