My passion is to help people understand each other.

I'm a professional interpreter, translator, intercultural consultant and intercultural coach with over 20 years of interpreting experience in German, Japanese, and English. Fluent and occasionally interpreting in French, conversational in Swedish and Russian. Having lived five years in Tokyo, Japan, for study and work, three years in Strasbourg, France, for work, and two years in Lund, Sweden, for continuing studies, I have experienced first hand what challenges my clients are facing in their communication with people from other countries and cultures.

I have professional experience in Japanese and European working environments, as well as with American co-workers and superiors. Before becoming self-employed, I provided in-house interpreting at business meetings, visits of high-level politicians, educational visits and trade fairs for past employers.

Previous clients include Japanese and German local governments, NGOs, leading Japanese companies from sectors such as manufacturing industries, automotive, machine tools, consumer goods, finance, and arts and entertainment, to name just a few.
