English term

pt-2-pt

English to French Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology)
"Each department often has its own IT system – which has pt-2-pt integrations with specific other systems resulting in data silos and incomplete vision – which often forms the basis of a non-cohesive, less optimal organizational culture"

Not sure if this is a typo or something I am not aware of.
Proposed translations (French)

Discussion

Tony M Feb 11, 2022:
@ Asker 'point-to-point' — common enough in other fields too (perhaps even more so than in IT). Usually opposes the concept of 'networked'.
Don't know what abbreviation if any is used in FR, but since they do use the En terms B2B etc., I suspect it is probably just kept as is!

point à point / pt-à-pt

The concept is explained briefly here: https://fr.gadget-info.com/difference-between-point-point

I'm not aware of any 'standard' French abbreviation
If the expression occurs frequency in the ST, and you need to abbreviate it, you might consider using pt-à-pt, with the full term alongside the first occurrence in your text so readers know what it means.
