Experienced Translation professional, graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA Honors double-award degree in French and Spanish, specializing in Translation for Business & Marketing content.

I'm a native UK English speaker with bilingual Spanish (European) and advanced French & Catalan. My professional experience includes a position as Translation Project Manager at a multi-national translation agency, where I was able to gain important professional training in proofreading and quality-management. Specialising in the field of Life Sciences, I managed translation projects for key pharmaceutical clients, including medical & legal reports, certificates, and protocols.

I also have extensive experience working as a Freelance Translator and Proofreader, with professional training in TMs and various CAT & project management tools.

I have trained in both literary and technical translations, including studies in translation theory, translation in practice, and basic linguistics.

I work closely with all my clients to ensure that each translation fits the required style and register. My translation style tends to be as creative and free as possible (unless working with technical, legal or similar content requiring a more literal approach), and although I always prioritise loyalty to the source text, I aim to make the target translation as fluent and natural as possible. My experience revising and proofreading medical and technical texts also means that I understand the importance of precise and direct translations for technical content.
