Hi,
I am curious about something in MS word,
Let's say that you used TRADOS 2007 to translate a MS word document, and when you finished then you didn't run clean up,
As you know, the target segments replace the source segments in MS word, so the source segments stay hidding in MS word,
Now let's say that instead of running clean up (for trados), you chose not to do that and you chose to open the translated MS word document (without trados) and then run (find hidden texts) and then you click on delete hidden texts in MS word, 1- could the above process replace the clean up process (for TRADOS)? and how much clean is the document? or 2- can it help in removing all the hidden text that the client shall not have any of the source segments in the translated document?
Please advice,
Thank you very much, Best regards, Salam Alrawi ▲ Collapse

(I guess you need Trados to be installed to do this):
Go to: Tools-Macro- Macros and scroll down to t4winClean.Main and press Run.
Please be sure to do this with a copy of your file, otherwise you'll loose bilingual one. Also, this process does not update the TM.
What it does- it cleans up even files Trados itself can't due to some tag errors. Bur sure, you have top scroll through your file manually after and check if all is OK.
