I am translating an Interleaf file. I have Trados 5.5.

I have created an rtf (or stf as Trados calls it) file with S-Tagger for Interleaf. I want to translate it with TagEditor.

I can open the file in TagEditor, no problem. But when I try to save the file in bilingual format, Trados gives me the error message "40005 Invalid Pointer" and does not save the file.

I can open, translate, and save the file ok in Word. I just prefer TagEditor as a translating int

Can somebody help me?

Solution (kind of) to the problem Jan 3, 2006

The same problem appeared when I tried to save an SGML file with TagEditor. So the problem was obviously with TagEditor and not with the files in question.

We re-installed Trados, and voila! The problem was gone. We still don't know what the problem was or what caused it, but now it seems to be gone.
