Can anyone recommend a very good one? Thanks in advance. | | | Bunjes for a start | Apr 16, 2003 |
I find Bunjes Wörterbuch der Medizin und Pharmazeutik (Thieme Verlag) very useful, to a somewhat lesser extent Reuter&Reuter Medizinisches WöBu (again Thieme).
Roche is online at http://www.gesundheit.de/roche/
I\'m also interested in what other colleagues will suggest.

Agree with Cilian, however, the new version called Thieme-Leximed has dropped many of the terms that were in the old Bunjes. You\'re actually better off if you can find a version that is over 10 years old! | |

Is an enormous 6-volume work that I picked up used at a medical book store. It is basically a Ger.-Ger. dictionary, but has Eng./Fr. translations for nearly all words. I don\'t even know if it is still in print, but if you see it BUY IT! I also have a GDR version of Nöhring\'s Technik-Wörterbuch Medizin, it is almost as good as Bunjes and has an E. German take on things. This has been republished lately in an updated version and is not overly expensive. The Pschyrembel on C... You can also subscribe to selected dictionaries for a cheaper price. ▲ Collapse | | | Reuters, Nöhring, Dressler, Pschyrembel | Apr 18, 2003 |
I use Reuter & Reuter 2 vols. of Thieme, Nöhring 2 vols. of Langenscheidt, had bought 10 years ago Dressler 2 vols. VCH, but this is not recommendable. Although I used the Bunjes during my university years extensively not least because the author himself was a professor there (Germersheim) and also because there was nothing else then - I do not own it as I thought it was obsolete nowadays. Perhaps I\'m wrong. I also use Pschyrembel a good deal which offers a lot of English translatio...
