日本語 term
C
日本語 から 英語
技術/工学
コンピュータ: ハードウェア
That's it (at least so far what I got). Context is:
デザインがCというよりスタイリッシュな家具の一部のようで...
Cの苦手なお年寄りにも簡単に使えそう..
More explanation:
A touch screen driven PC, mostly for family use. TV, radio, music, built-in picture printer, etc. all in one.
Wht is the proper translation (English word) for this piece of machine?
TIA

PC, computer
After the added info, I think you can translate it as PC or computer.
If the source is in Excel, it is possible, that the C is a typo for PC, or a result of OCR-software error. OCR software doesn't like romaji mixed with kanji, and the first (or more) romaji characters can easily get dropped.
It is also possible that the "layman" answerer used "C" for computer, as it is shorter than writing the whole katakana word.

Comment: "Wow, this is one of those things -- Deceptively easy but not until so explained by a good hand. Thank you Katalin!"
Discussion
Sentences may not make much sense because these are all by lay people (if it is proper word). They are rather illogical and fragmented.
