I was using "area code" for "shigaikyokuban", but what about "shinai"

In the number xxx-yyy-zzzz I refered specifically to xxx as the area code, and yyy-zzzz
I translated as telephone number, but the client wants me to specifically translate a term for yyy. Does "sub-area code" sound right? Or, is there a correct term?

local exchange number
説明:
Search for "< How to dial JR numbers >" in the first reference below, and "Most numbers will be your local exchange number followed by 7380." in the second.

The last four digits are called the "subscriber number"

\"Area code\" is fine, by the way.

説明:
I think all the tel numbers are substructured, and as you translate "shigaikyokuban" as "area code", the number coming next to it is called "shinaikyokuban." The latter is the number which signifies the local identifiation of the number and in any case, that would be better translated as "local number", I guess. While "shigaikyokuban" may have other translation, "toll number" which may be used in contrast to the local number.

I also use the word "area code" for "市外局番", and I had been used the word "local number" for "市内局番".
As another expression, "local office number" or "local telephone exchange number" is also possible.

local line

説明:
Japanese like 'local line' since they say about people in the country where they live as 'local people' e.g. Myanma people in Myanma etc.
