Poland's Press Law requires the disclosure of information, even from private businesses, to members of the press, subject to state and official secret protection. Use of this law requires a press identification. Members of the press who are refused access to information can challenge such refusal in an administrative court.
The State and Official Secrets Act of 1982 does not refer directly to trade secrets, since it was written in the era of the centrally planned economy when trade secrets were in fact protected as either state or official secrets.
