Ya hemos hablado del morbo antes, quedamos en que tenía connotaciones positivas y negativas al mismo tiempo.
- Bizarre, no siempre las tiene negativas, pero se suele decir de algo que llame la atención especialmente. Ya sé que en muchos contextos no serviría, pero creo que en algunos sí.
- Cookie, no te molestes, no lo encontrarás en el diccionario con este sentido. Es muy dialectal, del noroeste de Inglaterra. Significa que alguien tiene rarezas, pero que gustan a quien lo dice, yo soy (era) cookie.
- Sad but true, no significa que una noticia tenga morbo, estrictamente hablando. Ya sabemos que los anglosajones no tienen una palabra para el morbo, y por lo tanto es imposible que digan que lo hay, pero quien dice 'sad but true' suele experimentar morbo aunque no sepa que se llama así.

In this particular translation I would repeat morbid three times as in the Spanish version to respect the register and emphasize this idea of morbidity. (I would put: "and the news is morbid" if it is followed by a full stop, otherwise I would stick to the coma).
