Dear all,

I would appreciate any information on current rates for salaried positions.

I have been offered a chance of a full time position as a QA specialist (localization company) and was asked to provide my desired hourly rate AND a monthly salary expectation. Have to admit I got caught out with this question. I am familiar with per-word rates for my language pair, but realised I have absolutely no idea about salaries.

Have to admit I got caught out with this question. I am familiar with per-word rates for my language pair, but realised I have absolutely no idea about salaries.

I am based in the UK and am a recent graduate, so I guess my salary will have to reflect that. I do not mind if entry level salaries are not too enticing as I am really interested in localization and think this is a wonderful opportunity, however I do not want to ask for too little either. Just want what is fair.

I understand not everyone will be comfortable with sharing details of their personal income but I would appreciate any insights or resources where I can get up to date information.
