えーっ!! どうしたのかな。

First of all, you have to note that there are male and female speaking styles in Japanese. There is a neutral style too.
The example I gave you above can be used by both sexes.「えー!!」can be used by a person of any sex and age.If the speaker is a female, you also can use 「どうしたのかしら」or「どうなってるの」。If the speaker is a male, you can use either「どうしたんだ」or「どうなってるんだ」. These are very general examples. If the speaker is from a
special society or someone like that, you have to choose an appropriate expression, of course.
