Can somebody give some more about Microsoft.net and the integration of XML in localisation technology?

As I understand Microsoft.net it is MsIntention to have central server to which everybody has to log-in to Ms-servers and hire software-time? That would give Ms world-control given that every company and instution would depend upon Ms?

Basically, XML is a way to pass data from one place to another. Compared to HTML, it has the advantage of marking up text according to what it *means* instead of *how it should be shown*. It can look something like this:

What about the .Net principle? Feb 19, 2003

Thanks Henry. Do you also happen to know what the idea-goal of the .Net-project is? A few central Microsoft Servers and the rest of the world attached to them?
