AAAとは、ある不動産投資データベース会社の名称です。
このように二つ並んだうちの二番目の人名に続く括弧の中に、COOという役職と並んで記されています。
COOは仮に「最高業務執行責任者」としてみたのですが、一番目の人名に既に「創業者、会長」といった風な肩書が付いている場合、問題の肩書は「副会長」と「副社長」のどちらが妥当になるでしょう。
あるいはそのどちらでもない適切な訳語があるでしょうか。
悩むほどの問題なのかという気もしますが、適当にやっつけるわけにもいかず・・・。

私の意見: COOという肩書きをお持ちのことからすると、この方は「執行役」を兼ねている管理職です。日本における「執行役」とは、商法に則り大会社が委員会等設置会社を設置する場合に、業務執行権を付与される役職のことで、取締役とは別に設けられる職務で取締役会から業務執行機能を担当する役員のことですが、取締役との兼任は禁止されていません。執行役員制度を最初に導入した企業はソニーで、その導入年は商法改正（2003年）の6年前である1997年でした。また役職名（executive vice president）の訳についてですが、これは定款によって決められるため、会社によって異なります。その諸例をあげておきます。

In this global world of business titles, when the adjective "Executive" proceeds the main title of Vice President, 執行役 (executive).

" Vice President" is 副会長 while "Executive Vice President" (who, in effect, has more power than a regular Vice President) is 執行副社長.

副会長（または1人目を社長、2人目を副社長）

英辞郎には、executive vice-president は「上級副社長、取締役副社長、執行副社長とあり、その他の例として「副社長、副総裁」などが挙げられています。

仮に１人目（President)を会長とした場合、2人目のExecutive Vice Presidentは「副会長」がよろしいかと思いますが、それ以外のオプションとして、「社長、副社長」や「総裁、副総裁」などもありかと思います。

President=社長、Executive Vice President=上級副社長

基本はこれだと思います。社長はCEOを兼ねているケースが多く、COOは社長より下位の役職の方(専務等）が就任されているケースが多いようです。

ただし、役職名は企業により幅があることが多く、その他の方の役職がどうなっているかをよく観察してから決定されるようお勧めします。例えばChairmanと書かれている方がいればそれは「会長」ですし、いないからといって即「President＝会長」とも限りません(会長職を設けていない会社かもしれないから）。
そういう意味での自信度　'Medium'　です。
